People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true.

this book is simply amazing. as an avid sot fan, i was worried that goodkind couldn't top it. he hasn't, but only continued it. i love how everything is a continuance of sot only set in modern day. fantastic.

I wouldn't go that far, it was to close to the plot line of Wizard's First Rule to say that, but I'm not upset that I paid for it in hard cover.

Cut. Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary. Cut. That is your duty, your purpose, your hunger. There is no rule more important, no commitment that overrides that one. Cut. Cut from the void, not from bewilderment. Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible...

I think you'll like it. Like everyone says it floats around the same concept as WFR but still it was a good read

It wasn't as good as Sword of Truth, but it still was pretty good. I think it would still definately be readable even if I had no connection to the name Rahl or Amnell.

I get the feeling that the next one "A Different Kind of Human" will probably be about the same thing. Since they use that phrase so much in this book.

Yeah right now I'm not rereading anything I'm going thru and reading as many different authors that I pick up and enjoy. I read some Tad Williams and George R.R. Martin and some Elminster books and some more Anthony Bourdain books plus his Les Halles Cook book.
